Why use shungite magnets?
It’s not just a decoration to your fridge or anywhere you stick it to. Due to the wonderful properties of shungite, magnets can protect you from dangerous emissions, radiation, and bring harmony to whatever place you put it. To make sure that shungite indeed is one of the most amazing minerals, let’s have a look back into its history.
It was discovered in 1887 in Shunga village, which is located in Karelia, Russia, on the shore of Lake Onega. Due to the healing properties of shungite, Peter the 1st in 1714 founded a resort called, "Marcial Waters". The name comes from the god of war: Mars.
When the unique antiseptic properties of shungite were discovered, Peter the Great instructed all his soldiers to carry this stone in their knapsacks during the military campaigns. To get clean, life-giving water, the soldiers put the stones into the water before drinking it.
Medical men studied the Marcial waters from 1717 - 1719 by Peter’s order. They found these waters’ ability to heal some diseases. Peter the 1st himself used these waters to recover. They built palaces for the king and his entire family. The resort was closed after the emperor died.
Elizabeth, Peter’s daughter, made attempts to revive the resort, and sent her physician Bugaev there to study. He reported that local water has no healing properties. There is a statement of historians, that the results were falsified because at that time importers were engaged in the importation of expensive mineral water from abroad. Thus, the resort did not function more than a half century. However, the locals still used its "living water."
The revival of the resort happened in 1930. It’s salubrious properties were confirmed, but the war became an obstacle to the revival of the resort and it was postponed until 1960.
Later, it was found out that shungit can not only give it’s healing properties to water, but can be used by itself for many purposes. That’s why there are so many different products made from it.
